SACRAMENTO – Today, Assemblymember Ash Kalra (D-San José) provides an update on the implementation of ACR 71, a chaptered resolution to designate the portion of State Route 101 in the County of Santa Clara from Story Road to the junction with State Highway Route 280 and State Highway Route 680 as the Little Saigon Freeway.

The bill would have established a state policy of recognizing and addressing historic water-related inequities perpetuated by state-sanctioned actions against California Native American Tribes. SACRAMENTO – Assembly Bill (AB) 2263, authored by Assemblymember Kalra (D-San José), has been signed into law by Governor Newsom and will greenlight Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority’s (VTA) ability to set aside affordable housing for their employees.
SACRAMENTO – Today, Assembly Bill (AB) 2495, authored by Assemblymember Kalra (D-San José), has been signed into law. AB 2495 expands the scope of prohibited unfair immigration-related practices that unscrupulous employers use to intimidate and dissuade workers from asserting their workplace rights.
SACRAMENTO – Assembly Bill (AB) 1999, authored by Assemblymember Kalra (D-San José), has been signed into law by Governor Newsom. AB 1999 makes common-sense changes to veterinary care statute to better protect the health of domestic animals and improve access to care from qualified veterinary professionals.
SACRAMENTO – Assembly Bill (AB) 2218, authored by Assemblymember Kalra (D-San José), passed the legislature with bipartisan support and now heads to the Governor. AB 2218 establishes a state policy of recognizing and addressing historic water-related inequities perpetuated by state-sanctioned actions against California Native American Tribes.
SACRAMENTO – Assembly Bill (AB) 2305, authored by Assemblymember Kalra (D-San José) and sponsored by Consumer Attorneys of California, passed the Legislature with a bipartisan vote and now heads to the Governor. AB 2305 prohibits private equity firms, hedge funds, and other corporate legal funders from directing or influencing the practice of law.
